Who is Ben Stubbs?

Boasting an impressive range of performance and live show experience, Ben Stubbs carries an extensive skill set to his thought-provoking, lyric-driven blend of Pop, Rock and Country.
He hails from the Isle of Wight, where he attended Medina High School and studied
Performing Arts to learn guitar. Soon enough, his curiosity would lead him to Poitiers, France in 2011, spending a short stint performing live in bars and restaurants. It was during this time that he wrote the majority of his first EP ‘Songs From Cherrytrees’,which would contain his very first single release ‘Up in the Clouds’ (2013) and second track ‘Time to Go’ (2013). By the time he arrived back in the UK, he was booked and busy in the south. Later, 2014 saw him release the Bandcamp acoustic project ‘Sea View Sessions’, and take a break to focus on performing shortly after. Just one year later his gigging career took him to Thailand, where he landed a job as a regular performer, but this would come to an end following the death of Thailand’s King Bhumibol Adulyadej and prohibition of live performances as a result of the country’s mourning. Stubbs consequently moved back to his hometown and was welcomed as a full time professional gigging musician.

For the Isle of Wight singer-songwriter, years of application to his craft come to fruition in a beautifully honed collection of songs, and his debut album ‘Light of My Life’ is bursting with warmth and exuberance. Since his return to songwriting in 2019, Ben has been faithfully refining this 10 track anthology of reflections on life, love and the world we live in. ‘Light of My Life’ has garnered interviews and features with local and national press, had global radio air-time and earned placement in several popular Spotify playlists as well as a Launch Party to celebrate the support he’s received so far. He’s back and better than ever, Ben Stubbs deserves a bundle of recognition with his debut album, you won’t want to miss it.
